Therapy Approaches
(In Plain Language)

Client-Centered Therapy
This means I trust that you’re the expert on your own life. I won’t give you a script to follow — instead, I’ll meet you with warmth and honesty and help you figure out what you truly need.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
A trauma therapy that helps you process painful experiences in a new way so they don’t feel as overwhelming or stuck. It’s especially useful for past events that still affect your present.
Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP)
A gentle listening-based therapy that helps calm the nervous system, often used for trauma, sensory sensitivities, or chronic stress.

Strength-Based & Integrative
I’ll always look for what’s working, not just what’s broken. I pull from multiple approaches to create something that’s tailored just for you.

CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
Helps identify and shift unhelpful thoughts that impact how you feel and act. It’s useful for anxiety, depression, and stress.

DBT-Informed Work
Tools for regulating emotions, setting boundaries, and getting through crisis moments. I use DBT in a flexible way that fits your real life.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Learning to slow down, tune into your body, and be present in the moment — even when that moment is hard. This helps build awareness and reduce reactivity.

Solution-Focused Therapy
Instead of digging endlessly into the past, we’ll also look at what’s working now and how you can build on it. This is great for clients who want to focus on progress and practical changes.

Internal Family Systems (Exploratory)
You might feel like different parts of you want different things — like one part wants to rest, and another keeps pushing forward. IFS explores those inner parts with curiosity and compassion.
